JOIN THE TEAM
POLICY RESEARCHER
MEPS Forum is committed to supporting and empowering the next generation of scholars, analysts and practitioners working in the foreign policy space and to fostering engagement between the community of students and experts at the American University of Kurdistan and their international counterparts. Last year, MEPS Forum hosted a delegation of volunteers from King's College London and Stanford University. Following the success of this pilot scheme, we are delighted to invite applications for volunteers who would like to join MEPS Forum 2025 as Policy Researchers.
Responsibilities range from supporting our workshop partners, taking detailed notes during the workshops and the public forum, engaging in the discussions as active participants and any additional organisational requirements, in addition to preparing and finalising workshop reports. The position is suited to undergraduates, post-graduates and both PhD candidates and graduates, in addition to early-career foreign policy practitioners. MEPS Forum is a high-level arena and volunteers are expected to show their suitability for the role in their applications, including their professionalism, ability to work with others, their organisational experience, their experience as rapporteurs, their capacity to take detailed notes and synthesize complex information, and their ability to write and prepare reports. Applicants are required to submit at least one piece of writing.
